Your choice

We got more than 10,000 thoughts in a day . I am sure they must consists of some positivity, some negativity then fighting on those thoughts that which one we should kept and which one to be freed. We all think after reading any motivational book that from now I am gonna think only positive thoughts to achieve more in life ,to heal myself, to attract magics in my life, to make my dreams come true, to become more passionate for life and live it in best way.

But..... I m not going to say any negative thing here I was just using a word called 'but' . See just with one word our mentality comes from positive to negative. On my phone's back cover a quote is written i.e. 'its time to start living'. Whenever I read that I felt soo energetic that ok,let's begin to live life. Then after sometime that thought goes away.

I was reading a book 'The power of subconscious mind' written by Joseph Murphy in 1962. According to that, our subconscious mind is hidden treasure that can bring more wealth, more health,more happiness and more joy just by thinking positive thoughts. The arguments used in the book seems perfectly scientific and existable . Also that's what modern day "law of attraction" says that you attract what you think . 
But ... So this time how you are feeling? Positive or negative? Ok, I m not going to say that again. This time I am actually using this word to ask you that if positive thinking can do wonders in our life then why we can't think positive consistently?? Why we are ruining our life by being pessimist?

After reading many books like 'Fear' by thich nhat hanh (a Vietnamese monk) the answer I got for above question is quite simple and acceptable  that is - we have fears , we are negative, we doubt a lot and that is because of our society and experiences of our ancestors as well as ours. The struggles we have faced, the wars our elders had seen , the time shifts and changes that our society had witnessed makes us pessimist. Thats why they become hapitual of watching bad in every situation and if we try to be good then we feel outsider thus again we comeback to think negative in our life. The troubles,problems and the answers ,solutions are on same surface but it is just our mentality so formed by our world who makes us to choose bad because it seems easy to absorb sadness no matter how much pain it will give to us. That's why happiness becomes luxury.

Otherwise infant or children don't know how much happiness is important, for them happiness is just a thing they can get from anything.
The amount of energy and time that a negative thought take is equal for the positive thought which we can think in place of that thought . So it's a choice what to think? And at the end its always our own  choice. Now what you are going to choose?
