The Hustle : Cool or Killer

Do you have guilt in your free time that you are losing out on some exciting things or you are not doing enough or not pushing yourself or it is not right time to chill as there is lot to do?

Maybe the only time we feel less guilt is in night or even midnight because at that time it is advised to rest and then we feel that this is our time, we can binge, read or can do all our favourite things and then until the sleep hits us hard only that time we decide to sleep. The very next day begins with coffee to stay us awake and energetic and that’s how we deprive sleep and affect our sleep cycle and stuck in loop of revenge bedtime procrastination.

Well, the cycle goes on till weekend and when we finally get those two days for us then this urge to go out as we have to be cool and party hard or self care and other important things of life. And Yeah, if you are not enjoying what you do in work then this side hustle comes in for which we have to work extra on weekdays and on weekends as this is what we do for our future ….to stay happy. Right?

We are living in world of fads, trends, work hard and party harder. No-one wants to be millionaire, all wishes to be billionaire, if not then trillionaire. We have to be super model sexy, own castles or even islands, have fancy cars and unlimited money in bank account and super successful business empire. You have to be powerful, successful and beautiful, only then we are living our dreams and can be happy, chill, rest and enjoy life to its best. And when we are not even close to it, we grind, hustle, just keep working. The typical social media mentality trend.

But are we only allowed to rest and happy once we got our dreams? Well, no ofcourse. Then why we push ourselves soo much? When someone dies due to some heart attack or cardiac arrests and for few days we think that we need to be conscious about our lifestyle and food. Is it someone’s death is eye openers that how much in grind we are since we never rest or even pause without guilts.

The workaholics, gym freaks, party people - its fine to live life to its extremes but remember there are undefined extreme points of our machine (body) that might not be able to survive our YOLO lifestyles. Yes, it is all about mindset but find time to listen to your body as well. Your mind is hustling but your body might be suffering.

Our journey to get dreams and happiness is not single track, find happiness in little things rather than breathe out only when will reach mountain top. Not everything is battle, pick small and simple things they are also worth it. Not saying that your dreams are wrong , just sharing that hustling is exhausting but walking slowly is sustainable and much more fulfilling.

If you want life to be long and happy, then learn to enjoy, happy and relax everyday.
